Hi readers! Today I will be sharing a little reading update. I’ll go over what I’m currently reading, my TBR, and anything else that’s related to my reading progress at the moment.

Let’s get started!

Currently reading: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

If you’ve seen my last post, you might know that I was in a reading slump for some time. I’ve since decided that I wanted to read something again, so I picked up The Book Thief. At the time I’m writing this, I’m on chapter 31, so about a bit more than a third done. I’ve been wanting to read this book for quite some time now, and I’ve heard lots of good things about it. I’m really enjoying it so far, and I like the unique writing style of Markus Zusak. I have to admit, the very beginning was a bit hard to get through, but that could just be because I haven’t read anything in some time. Either way, I’m glad I stuck through with it. Let me know if I should do a full review when I’m finished.

Here’s the synopsis for those who are interested:

It is 1939. Nazi Germany. The country is holding its breath. Death has never been busier, and will become busier still.

Liesel Meminger is a foster girl living outside of Munich, who scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can’t resist–books. There are so many books that I can't wait to read! It's unfortunate that I was so unmotivated, but I hope that I'll be able to read them all sometime soon.
