Hi readers! I’m back with the relationship analysis that I promised you last time. We’ll be focusing on Tomo-chan Wa Onnanoko! (Tomo-chan is a Girl!) There’re three couples in the story, and each of them has a unique mood around them that’ll make you fall in love! So, be aware. >_<

A little recap of the story...

Tomo-Chan Wa Onnanoko!

Alternative: トモちゃんは女の子! | Tomo-chan wa Onna no Ko! | Tomo-chan is a girl!

Author / Artist: Yanagida Fumita

Genres: Comedy, Romance, Slice-of-Life, School Life, Shounen

Release Date: September 11, 2018

Status: Completed

Tomo-chan Wa Onnanoko talks about a girl, Tomo-chan, who’s often mistaken for a boy because of her boylike essence. She’s friends with Jun since they were children, and they are really good buddies. However, Tomo has a one-sided love for Jun and she can’t get him to think of her as a girl! This hilarious story revolves around the changing Tomo (from boyish to girly), and other ridiculous love stories of her friends.

Aizawa Tomo and Kubota Junichiro (the main couple!)

Tomo has red spiky hair and a well-shaped body. Jun has blue hair and he’s always trying to win against Tomo.

They’ve been childhood friends since Tomo moved into Jun’s neighborhood. Tomo is often mistaken for a boy because of her boylike essence and a (somewhat) aggressive personality inherited from her dad. Don’t misunderstand when I say that she’s aggressive! It’s a good type of aggressiveness that superheroes own. Such as fighting and taking back what’s originally hers. Because

of that aggressive incident, Tomo’s become a role model for the weak and vulnerable Jun (and that’s when their friendship starts). They grow closer than ever as they go to primary, elementary, and eventually high school together. Since they’re so close, no matter how serious Tomo confesses her love for Jun, he misunderstands it as a normal acknowledgment of their friendship.

Carol Olston and Misaki Kousuke

Carol has long and blonde hair, and a well-shaped body too. Misaki has blonde hair too, and always carries an uplifting aura.

Carol Olston is an English student who’s a good friend of Tomo. She’s very popular and beautiful, making her the ideal girl for boys to hit on. She’s a later introduced character, and she carries more depth than I initially imagined. Misaki is an upperclassman of Tomo and a distant cousin of Carol. Both of them have the chubby and baby vibe to them, which makes the couple really really cute! It’s Carol who falls for Misaki first, but he doesn’t realize his feelings for her until she cries her heart out in front of him. In the end, he confesses his love for her successfully. And it’s really hilarious to read. (Honestly, I have to say that he’s quite dumb, can’t he feel that Carol likes him when she’s being so damn obvious?)

*If you’re interested, read chapter 620-626. Don’t be overwhelmed by the large numbers, each chapter is very short!*

Gundou Misuzu and Tanabe Tatsumi

Gundou Misuzu has dark hair that’s down to her shoulder blades. Tanabe has spiky brown hair, and friends with Jun.

Misuzu is a very calm and intellectual girl who gives good love advice to Tomo. On the other hand, Tanabe is this crazy boy who couldn’t sit still for a moment. Although they’re technically not a couple (yet), they have great chemistry. Tanabe is the kind of boy that chases after Misuzu shamelessly, a boy who flirts a lot, and a boy who’s childish. This couple may not stand out as much as the other two, but they make a good combination.

*This panel really got me...🤣*

Anyways, this is a really good manga to loosen you up from work and other stressful matters! Comment below your thoughts and have a great day!
